    Drivers update problem

    Hi

    I have internet cafe on Kubuntu 7.04. I have made a lot of things there and that is why I do not want to migrate to new versions. it will take about 6 months to do that again. Everything works fine and I am glad. I have only one problem. If I change hardware, for example motherboard, I do not see LAN interface or Audio device. How can I update drivers pack?
    Please advice.

    I don't understand this:
    If I change hardware, for example motherboard, I do not see LAN interface of Audio device
    LAN=Local Area Network

    LAN of Audio device?

      I meant "or". System does not recognise Lan, audio or something else.

        This is just a guess: your new motherboard may use a different chipset than the old one. If that is the case, you may need different drivers, but (because you have not reinstalled the OS) the system has made no attempt to detect the new hardware. It "thinks" the HW is the same. Personally, I would either (recommended) re-install 7-04 (after writing down as many of your "tweaks" as you can remember) or (more work for you and probable complaints from customers) upgrade to 9-10 which probably has better hardware detection. Again, write down your tweaks, but be warned that they have probably changed because of the new KDE.

          I have 45 computers and they all have different hardware. The problem is that with old hardware all works fine, but new hardware may not be recognised by Kubuntu. Are there any driver packs? May be update Linux-headers?
