    Firefox browser and Flash

I am not a great lover of Flash use on the internet so the fact that it is not automatically included in Firefox doesn't unduly bother me, especially when I think of the download time I save with my s_l_o_w.... connection. I am curious however as to why it is not automatically included with the browser on installation, given that the use of flash is so widespread these days.

    Cheers

Well, you might want to ask Mozilla about that : D
But it's worth saying that, Mozilla Firefox is an Open-Source browser, while Adobe's flash player & shock wave might not be, so there you go.

I imagine it is legal reasons around flash being a proprietary product of adobe.
That said when you first visit a site using flash in firefox it prompts you to install it with a simple click so you can't get much easier than that.
