    cnr in kubuntu?

has anyone ever tried cnr (cnr.com)
    in kubuntu?

just browsing there i see a huge list of software to download (even more then the respiratory+
and the site says it works with ubuntu so it should also work with kubuntu

anyone tried it? if so what do you got to say about it?

I've never used it, but checking it out, it seems to be something like CNET's Download.com, which I used frequently with Windows (CNET's been giving a lot of positive feedback on Ubuntu lately, pretty cool hugh?) Thanks for informing me about CNR.com.

      Re: cnr in kubuntu?

I just got an email from Linspire that they are packing up their CNR warehouse and moving everything over to cnr.com. Details are at http://www.linspire.com/oldwarehouse. The first thing I did was go over to www.cnr.com to check it out. It seems like a very good idea for n00bs. If you want a CD burner or MP3 player you just pick and click.

The next thing I did was search here to see how it would affect a Kubuntu user, and all I found was this old thread.

I tried CNR for a few days while trying out Freespire, which comes with CNR.. it was easy and convenient, and I can't remember any problems with it.. but for whatever reason I decided to switch to Kubuntu.. anyway I think it could be a great addition to *buntu, but I would have to try it some more..

edit: I just tried to install CNR with no success.. the .deb is not for 64bit, and I couldn't get it from the repository either..

I'll stick with Adept--it's the best, by far.
Ubuntu 11.04, Kubuntu 11.04, and another TBD

agreed.. I would only use CNR after failing to find what I'm looking for in Adept and apt-get..
