Yeah, but they will only be available for the american (USA) market.
Their may be a devious reasoning behind this.
Something along these lines:
We will sell Linux boxes in the states as we know that it will not be a success, but to squelsch this linux thing once and for all. When we have proven that there really is no market for linux we can go back to being cosy with MS and maybe get some kickback from them in the process for going through the effort.
At any rate I am sure that dell would have more success in selling linux boxes in say europe or asia (or both) than in the states.
Their stated reason for only doing it in US was that most of the responses to that Dell Mindstorm (or whatever it was called) site that requested linux on dells originated in the US.
