    Virtual Desktops

I did a a quick little screencast using Kazam, slightly edited with kdenlive.

Forgot to mention that you can ignore anything Activity related (and even remove any activity-related widgets from your panel) and have fun!

    More to come later, hopefully.

      Claydoh:

      Thanks for that.

I've been using different wallpapers on each desktop since Xandros 1. KDE4 however allows one to have different icons (or widgets) on each desktop, something that KDE3.x could not do, and something that your video demonstrates nicely. I arrange them according to what I actually do on that desktop, with Online (Firefox / Thunderbird / Chrome) on Desktop 1, Word Processing (Kate / LO) on Desktop 2, File Management (Dolphin, Konsole and some shell scripts) on Desktop 3, and so on.

I'm looking forward to the next video installment.

I think I went too fast, though. It was only one take, really.

I didn't find that to be the case.

Nice job claydoh! That's exactly how I've been setting up my KDE 4 desktops in recent times.
