Sounds are missing (libasound.so.2)

Hello,

On my dekstop at work I resently switched from Debian to Kubuntu and my sounds are now missing. The problem is that from any alsa related program (alsamixer, sound system configuration etc.) I get this error:

error while loading shared libraries: libasound.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

I can't get any errors nor do I get any newer packages with apt-get upgrade or dist-upgrade. So where could the problem be...
