[solved] sound volume at 4% at startup

    Hi all,

every time I start Kubuntu the sound volume is at 4%.
How can I store permanently a feasable value for the sound volume?

I already made a "sudo aslactl store" with no success.
Where else is the volume inside KDE managed?

    Thanks for your help.

Re: sound volume at 4% at startup

For your internal audio output volume, setting the slider on the kmix button should make it persist at that volume level across reboots. For connected devices (webcams, headphones, plugged in microphones, etc.) I have observed varying results -- some will persist, and others seem to revert to a very low volume level after a reboot.

I use both alsamixer (alsamixergui) and pavucontrol to work with connected audio devices -- it seems both are sometimes needed to get the desired result.

      hi,

      thanks for your help.
after I saw that pavucontrol did not help I decided to delete the file "~/.kde/share/config/kmixrc" and "~/.kde/share/config/kmixctrlrc".
      now everythings works as expected!
