I'm running Kubuntu Hardy, but with fluxbox as well as kde3.5 and kde4 for window managing (I use them alternately, depending what I'm doing).
If I go straight into Fluxbox, then unsurprisingly klauncher doesn't get started. I use Amarok constantly, though, and dolphin a fair bit, as well as occasionally other K apps. I get errors from time to time letting me know that each K app can't talk to klauncher.
a) Is this a problem? I still seem to be able to get all the functionality I expect. But dolphin especially has a proper graphical error message (not just terminal output) complaining about it.
b) Can I run klauncher in my fluxbox init script without messing things up? Or is there another way to straighten this out?
