Gnome Calc Ugly

So, I use LM 21.2 Cinnamon on another machine that does not require all the bells and whistles of KDE Plasma.

I'm also testing 21.3 on another machine and I found another reason why I can't get on with Gnome!

The Calculator! It's ugly!

It has a whopping padded area between the Title-bar and the Calculator display line! Just for laughs I installed
Mate Calculator and it's far more sensible!

GNOME = ugly!
IMHO this is typical for the bad (but consistent) design that GNOME uses - exaggeratedty rounded corners and too much padding is a waste of space… Not even very useful for a tablet or mobile phone, not at all for a computer's desktop environment! Your example shows that better design can be possible with "modern" GTK design.
Apple has done similar bad design decisions during the past years - probabaly due to devices like the iPad.

get rid of Snap script (20.04 +) • reinstall Snap for release-upgrade script (20.04 +)
install traditional Firefox script (22.04 +) • install traditional Thunderbird script (24.04)
