Yeah, I was going on 12 then.

I still get chill bumps every time I hear Don McLean's musical story.

Wow, you guys are old, LOL (born '62 here).

A sad day indeed for music. I still listen to Buddy once in awhile and his influence is still there in modern music. Hard to imagine what would have come of him and the others, and music itself, had it not happened. Actually, if you think about it, musicians seem to die in plane crashes at an alarming rate. Seems odd, doesn't it?

The day Jim Croce died was a sad day indeed for me. His songs were very important to me in my youth and I just felt like the whole thing was surreal when I found out he'd been killed. I still love his songs and although I rarely listen to music at the present time, I'd be happy to hear any of my Jim Croce favorites any day.
