Google's new, in time for election, fact checking.

Google is rolling out, just in time to fact check all those evil right leaning non-factual fly over country christian bible thumpin' gun totin' non politically correct sites

Google News "determines whether an article might contain fact checks" using an algorithm that evaluates claims and by seeking websites "that follow the commonly accepted criteria for fact checks," the statement said.
    Business Insider

Of course we ALL know that there is NO human bias in ANY kind of algorithm! lol

Google's new, in time for election, fact checking.

    https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/6162278?hl=en

"Content that is considered inappropriate for advertising
Content that is considered "not advertiser-friendly" includes, but is not limited to:

Sexually suggestive content, including partial nudity and sexual humor
Violence, including display of serious injury and events related to violent extremism
Inappropriate language, including harassment, profanity and vulgar language
Promotion of drugs and regulated substances, including selling, use and abuse of such items
Controversial or sensitive subjects and events, including subjects related to war, political conflicts, natural disasters and tragedies, even if graphic imagery is not shown
If any of the above describes any portion of your video, then the video may not be approved for monetization. If monetization is approved, your video may not be eligible for all available ad formats. YouTube reserves the right to not monetize a video, as well as suspend monetization features on channels that repeatedly submit videos violating our policies
    ."

That's their "new" policy. It is SO vague that YouTube can block or demonetize any video for any reason it chooses. As it is playing out, the videos which are blocked or demonetized are most often those critical of Clinton, Obama or the Democrats. Oh, there is still plenty of violence, obscenity, sex, attacks, bullying, and ad hominem attacks on YouTube.

Demonetization is just a way of punishing content providers for political incorrectness by claiming they are "advertiser unfriendly" to avoid the obvious censorship. This is obvious when sponsored videos are demonetized. The video is still sporting the ad but the channel doesn't get a share of the ad revenue. Google takes it all. Pure greed. Google's CEO, by the way, is working on Hillary's campaign team and was caught filtering negative resulted out of searches about Hillary Clinton.

YouTube is not the only game in town. full30.com, Vimeo, GetZone, Dailymotion, gawe and several others.

I have to ask, about Google(R), what kind of "fact checking" were they doing Before this announcement? Any?

Or, just what fit their concept of truth?

Even a casual browse of YouTube content of demonetized videos shows that all of the "rules" are just window dressing to cover up what they using the following rule for:
Controversial or sensitive subjects and events, including subjects related to war, political conflicts, natural disasters and tragedies, even if graphic imagery is not shown
A LOT of YouTubers have content that is political in nature. It has become readily apparent that those YouTubers videos which criticize the Left (Democrats, SJW, Hillary) are demonetized. Those that are favorable to the Left are not demonetized, except for some poorly done ones which are used as deflecting tokens to dodge the obvious: protecting the Democrat candidate and platform.

I will go out on a limb and make a prediction. AFTER the election, if Clinton wins, things will go back to normal. YouTube may or may not "apologize" and make a formal reversion, but the "ad friendly" rule will fade because advertizers want their ads on videos that draw the largest audience. Otherwise, why spend the money? To be politically correct? Ya,right.

If Clinton loses YouTube will become a propaganda cannon constantly firing at Trump, just like the MNM is doing today, after COMPLETELY setting aside their pretense at journalistic neutrality.

Here is something that will "Blow your mind". A speech in 1958 that has precisely predicted what would happen to America between then and now.

That speech was to introduce the John Birch Society. They were attacked so ferociously that the group is now an almost invisible back-eddy in American politics. BUT, that speech nailed was was planned for the US by the Left and from hindsite we now see the results.

It is so utterly sad, that so many Americans are willingly being led down the path to slaughter simply because the path to such end is 'the easier path; the one that doesn't require much effort to travel on'. I hope that I am still alive to see this 'path' abandoned, and that America returns to the course it was on before all this BS, or that I meet my end before the utter collapse of America.

For Harassment and cyber bullying? Not the one above.

It "appears" that YouTube is after him

YouTube 'Heroes' (people whom YouTube empowered to flag "inappropriate" videos and more) are busy these days.
                    Get started with YouTube Heroes

YouTube Heroes is a program designed to recognize and reward the global community of volunteer contributors. The volunteers help create the best possible YouTube experience for everyone by:

Heroes also unlock exclusive rewards along the
Especially their "Trusted Flagger" program: "The YouTube Trusted Flagger Program is an invitation-only program that seeks to empower YouTube users to keep their community clean."

I did a search on YouTube using the word "chinese". In seconds I found these:

                    __https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CQ1l-ZW9kCY__
An exhibitionist masquerading as an "educator". Posted 5 months ago it has almost 2.5 million views.

                    __https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=La9ZmqpWin8__
Extracted from a Ghallywood/Nollywood Skit/Movie posted six weeks ago, it already has over 15 million views.

                    __https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O9hvzoRxLYg__
This piece of perversion has been online for over three years and has over 21 million views.

On the right side bar you can scroll through listing after listing and see porn that has been online for years, One has over 64 million views, but I doubt if it has the highest count.

Now, tell me again why YouTube thinks that demonetizing videos by, or blocking accounts of, creators whose political views challange those of the Left is "cleaning up" YouTube. What we are witnessing is an attack on the 1st Amendment (for Americans), or freedom of expression of citizens around the world who are not lock-step (goose step?) with the Democats, PES and Marxists in general. Consult your history books about China's "Red Guard". Today we call them Social Justice Warriors, but they are cut from the same cloth.

By defunding certain videos, and keeping all the ad monies for themselves, Google is proving that their "clean up" campaign is Left Wing politically inspired greed combined with suppression of freedom.

BTW, I hope you noticed that YouTube Flaggers are given the power to add captions and subtitles to videos. Just what kinds of captions and subtitles will they add to videos that Google demonetizes? Hint: How does CNN and the rest "caption and subtitle" news clips of candidates? Notice a difference?

To my friend GreyGeek, and to all who view this thread, and especially post #10 which I edited (see the Reason at the bottom of the post).

Some may wonder at my action, especially given that the thread/posts are about censorship. Editing the content of anyone's posts here in KFN is not done without considered thought. In this case, the editing was done solely to change the provided example URLs from active URLs to ones that someone would have to selectively copy and paste into a browser to see. The intent of GreyGeeks post, and even its content, were left intact, but without the immediate ability to 'click' on URLs to content that is inappropriate and not in line with the values we want to maintain here in KFN.

I hope that anyone reading this thread isn't offended by my action, and if not accepts, at least understands my reasoning.

Good edit, Snowhog! I would have done it myself IF I had thought of it. As it was, I didn't use the "video" tag to avoid having images of the videos display on the page, and just pasted the URLs without the URL tag.
So, thanks for making that change!

BTW, I just got an email from Daniel Pipes, a fellow whose web page tracks Islamic radical activity. He is not a Trump fan and posted an interesting possibility:
                          http://www.danielpipes.org/

Together, his personality and his isolation from his own party make Trump more vulnerable to impeachment than any U.S. president in history. Democrats despise him almost without exception but so do many Republicans. Enough of them would likely vote to impeach him to reach the necessary simple majority in the House of Representatives and two-thirds majority in the Senate.
This scenario is the more plausible because Trump would be succeeded by his vice president, the formidable conservative Mike Pence.
                          I found that very intriguing.

Wikileaks just released an internal document from the FBI where , AFTER the subpoena, Ambassador Kennedy offerd a "quid pro quo"... words IN the document that if the State Dept would RECLASSIFY certain e-mails about Bengazi that the State Department would get a bunch of "extra slots" overseas.

Unfortunately this will NEVER see light of day on NBC, CBS, ABC, NPR, PBS...

It is being discussed on Fox because, this is with real time video, Katherine Herridge asked the State Department rep and he weasled.

But, it is all for naught.... Billary will be elected and we will slide further into the quagmire of the middle east and the quicksand of going to a "one payer" health system.
