    How to speak Yorkshire

    Following on from the other thread on how to prenounce pronounce UK place names, I thought I'd help you to learn to speak Yorkshire.

    ahhhh Yorkshire, the best place in the world - God's own county.

    Wonderful! I just love British regional accents. Mind you, I did have trouble following some of this!

    I can usually pick up what part of Britain people are from just from their accent (although quite often I'm stumpted too). I particularly like the Geordie accent.

    My parents were from Edinburgh, Scotland and I have always liked that accent too. Oddly enough I picked it up myself when I spent a few months in Scotland in my early twenties (but lost it again just as quickly when I returned to NZ).
