    Frugalware

Anyone ever tried it? I'm thinking about putting it on my second HDD.

So far I only put in in a VM, but it's a nice mix between vanilla and useability. It has it's own package manager (fpm) (although the GUI is only in GTK; it would be nice if muon were ported to use FPM), uses a fork of archs pacman & still keeps a bit of that slackware 'feel'. I recommend checking it out

I also think kpackagekit has a pacman backend, you might be able to use that.
