    Linus Torvalds busts Microsoft FAT patent with prior art!

    The FAT patent is the one Microsoft used to extort "license fees" from TomTom and other users of Linux. It turns out that Linus had created almost identical long file name & short file name mixing almost three years before Microsoft filed their FAT patent.
