Can sombody explain the meaning of this .NET failure?

It looks like another .NET application reliability problem? Is this yet another M$ failure (like the London Stock Exchange fiasco) or what?

Virgin upgraded to the Navitaire New Skies system from the previous Navitaire Open Skies system in an $11 million implementation in June 2010. Navitaire systems are in use by 70 airlines around the world.
It is the same Aventure that was the co-developer of the LSE .NET software that crashed and burned, but at this point one cannot say that it was the fault of .NET, despite the LSE fiasco. There are 70 Navitaire system in use around the world, but no break-down on which are using "Open Skies" and which are using "New Skies". The problem could be with the "New Skies" system IF Virgin is the only airlines using it.

But, my first guess would be that Virgin, a low-fare, cheap airline, is also being cheap on the quality of the IT staff they employ, and they are probably being cheap on the level and quality of the training they give to employees who use their computer system.
