Kubuntu 24.04 not respcting power save settings

I clicked off the power save settings where it says log out in 10 minutes so it won't log out and force me to have to type in my password. I am at home and a bachelor so why should I deal with reloging when there is no one else here? I can see the need for good security when the user is in a public or work environment. I tried it several times. To be sure I didn't forget to click apply or something.
Just to remind users and devs that Ubuntu and its flavors have a long way to go to be as usr friendly as they should be.

Make sure "suspend session" is unchecked in power mng -> energy saving. and uncheck "lock screen automatically" in workspace behavior -> screen locking.

As arsivci already wrote (these screenshots are from Kubuntu 24.04 LTS with Plasma 5.27.11):

This way everthing will always stay "on" and "unlocked" - but perhaps consider using at least a switch off time of 15 or 30 minutes for "Screen Energy Saving"…

I forgot about the screen locking in workspace behavior.I decided to set Screen Energy saving to 90 minutes so It doesn't switch off during a movie but switches off if I leave the computer for a while. At night I use a screen saver with a 1 minute screen blanking activation because my headphones won't charge when I go to bed if the computer is off.

Yes Suspend Session in Power Management and Screen Locking in Workspace Behavior will conflict with each other very badly. I have Screen Locking checked in Work Space Behavior, but Suspend Session is unchecked. The result is that my screen will lock if I leave the laptop open for 20 minutes., but nothing bad happens if I close the lid and leave it closed for a while - hours even.

I made a mistake with that combination once (Set Suspend AND Screen Locking), and it literally took holding the power button down to get it to shut down so I could wake it up again and fix those two settings.
