Hi, I just installed Kubuntu 24.04 LTS on my MacBook Air 7,2 — dual boot.
The only thing I'm missing for complete bliss is, to get the camera going. There is a PPA available at Launchpad — but unfortunately for Noble, Greg failed that far!
This PPA relies on the "Linux driver for the Facetime HD (Broadcom 1570) PCIe webcam found in recent Macbooks", posted at GitHub. Its installation process however appears quite complicated…
Since I might not be the only one who seeks to liberate his/her MacBook from Apple's "ecosystem"
, maybe some guru here might like to help?
Many thanks!
