First I will say I am not new to Linux I have been using the 20.04 and 22.04 versions, and done several installations.
I installed the Kubuntu 22.10. I am using a dual boot with Windows 10 and Linux. The Linux is using one partition its for the system and data (/).
Installation went smooth using manual selection and formating of one partition selected as mount '/'. This partition I formated as btrfs file system (ext4 is an alternative). And I am also using a 8 GB partition used for swap (I have 8 GB of RAM).
After installing I went to bios and selected to boot to "ubuntu" since this is the bootloader created by kubuntu.
First thing after installation I added flatpak to Discovery and installed Inkscape as a flatpak.
Everything seems to work so far 'right out of the box'.
