    Upgrade to 20.04 LTS Problem

I run 20.04 and receive 'end of support', upgrade messages every time.

When I attempt to upgrade, the upgrade always fails. The screenshots will explain, I hope.

I don't have any depth of knowledge - am mostly just a user.
So, I don't know why there is a lock on dev/sdd3 - my current KDE Neon partition.

I'd be grateful for help and advice.

sdd3 is locked because it's mounted. You can't make changes to a partition with a file system on it mounted.

The EFI error message seems clear enough. Have you tried doing what it says - mounting it a /boot/efi - and then attempting the upgrade?

Thanks. I cannot unmount. I tried with KDE partition manager and using the konsole.

You can’t unmount /dev/sdd3 because it is your booted into root partition.
Windows no longer obstructs my view.

I see that. I'm not clued up enough to mess with root. I know that much.

Will stick with 22.04 in the meantime. If the need arises, I will do a clean install of 22.04 LTS.
