Authentication needed when using TigerVNC

I have trouble with the authentication process on a Kubuntu installation when accessing it via TigerVCN.
When I first installed TigerVCN it did ask for authentication after login via VCN-Client in an confirmation Window.
However, for a while, when connecting i'm no longer asked to authenticate and because of this can't use several programs such as Discover which need authentication first.
Is there a way to get the system back to start with a authentication window prompt when connecting? Is it possible to prompt authentication when no window prompting authentication shows?
I tried reinstalling TigerVNC but the problem persists.
Any help would be appreciated.
