I have an Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 GA401QH with a Ryzen 7 5800HS. I came across a number of commands for this laptop that I can't find anywhere in the distro. There's also an interesting website asus-linux.org for Asus users. I'd like to install and use asusctl , asusd , or rog-control-center , but I'm not sure how or where to build these from. Does anyone have any experience on this topic?

you can try this how-to, skipping the kernel related first-half, and start with the # Download asusctl section
it does involve installing Rust. it seems to follow the official instructions from their git page.
Apparently they only like to support more cutting edge distros (or they are just lazy that way)
Or, more likely there are no Ubuntu users who have bothered to figure it all out.
Actually, some may have
I can't attest to it, but it ain't going to hurt to try it.
You probably want build-essential, and you'll need to redo this after kernel updates, i think.
