Over the past week or so, Chromium has become remarkably spotty, refusing to connect initially to some sites but connecting on reload, connecting instantly to other sites, and refusing entirely to connect with some other sites. I've observed this problem both on my Linux box and on my Windows 10 VM inside it.
I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling Chromium--futile.
I know Grey Geek had a similar problem a couple of years ago, and I'm just wondering whether others are experiencing similar problems now.
I am not experiencing similar problems with Firefox on either of my OSs. (Short answer: so use Firefox, Dummy!)
Oh, and while I'm at it, in case Chromium starts working again, has anyone discovered a way to cause pdf links in Chromium to open in Okular without Chromium simultaneously saving them in Downloads?
