System tray and task bar not on display [Solved]

on Karmic (9.10), I had discovered "add panel" next to "add widgets/gadgets". The icons were placed in each corner of the desktop display. I went to the bottom right corner to remove that panel icon, and it also removed the whole taskbar. How do I get it back?

Kubuntu Karmic dual booted with Vista on HP Pavilion dv6835nr.

The 'cashew' icon in the upper-right corner of your display. Click, 'Add Panel'
Using Kubuntu Linux since March 23, 2007

ok, tried that. That just adds those panel icons to each corner. Any other suggestions to get the system tray (that panel that goes all the way accross the bottom of the screen) back again?

Hold on a few, I see where you were getting at. Good thing I installed Kubuntu on a desktop, as opposed to my HP Pavilion that is dual booted with Vista. I have an idea. We'll see where it leads me.

Ok, so each of the icons on the taskbar are also widgets.

It got me goin' in the right direction. Got 'er done! Thanks for the help!
