    Luxi Mono not listed as monospace font

    I have been using Kubuntu for more than a year now. I recently installed the Luxi fonts from the repo. But I am unable to find the Luxi Mono font listed as a Monospace font in the font selector dialog box. Can some one help me in using the Luxi Mono for my Konsole.

    Thanks.

    Re: Luxi Mono not listed as monospace font

    I figured it out myself. I as looking around for the Konsole config file in my user directory. I found it in:
    ~/.kde/share/apps/konsole/Shell.profile

    I changed the font listed in there to Luxi Mono and restarted Konsole to see Luxi Mono used as the console font. That solved the problem for now.
    Font=Luxi Mono,9,-1,5,50,0,0,0,0,0

    I still need some help listing it as Monospace font in the KDE Font Selector Dialog box.

      Look in /etc/fonts/conf.d/60-latin.conf

      Luxi Mono should be listed under
      <alias>
      <family>monospace</family>
      <prefer>
      <family>DejaVu Sans Mono</family>
      <family>Bitstream Vera Sans Mono</family>
      <family>Andale Mono</family>
      <family>Courier New</family>
      <family>Cumberland AMT</family>
      <family>Luxi Mono</family>
      <family>Nimbus Mono L</family>
      <family>Courier</family>
      </prefer>
      </alias>
