Vlc only has sound for 1 instance

Hi

I really hope you can help me with this problem.

I just upgraded to 9.10, and it works perfectly. I can now hibernate!!!

But this is strange: I open a movie with vlc and it plays with sound. I pause it and open a new movie.
But this instance has NO sound.

I searched for solutions, but no luck.

I switched from alsa to OSS.
