    Kgpg doesn't load for normal users?

    I installed Kgpg using Kpackagekit, and am unable to load it up as a normal user. I can only load it up using "sudo".

    Am I doing something wrong, or should I report this as a bug?

    I get no output when I type "kgpg" into Konsole / Yakuake, but if I click on the K menu icon, I get a bar for perhaps twenty seconds at the bottom of the screen which then disappears. If you do "ps -e" while the bar is there, you can see kgpg in the list.

    If I do "sudo kgpg" the program runs fine, putting the icon in the taskbar (but obviously as the root user, which is not ideal, because all of the key and config files are then saved with root permissions). The output is as follows:

    somebody@Achilles:~$ sudo kgpg
    [sudo] password for somebody:
    Error: "/var/tmp/kdecache-somebody" is owned by uid 1000 instead of uid 0.
    Error: "/tmp/kde-somebody" is owned by uid 1000 instead of uid 0.
    QSystemTrayIcon::setVisible: No Icon set

    Relatedly, if I am editing an identity in Kontact, and click on "Start Certificate Manager", I get "Could not start certificate manager; please check your installation."

      I had the same issue with Jaunty. I fixed it by changing the command portion of kgpg using the Menu Editor.

      Right click on K-Menu > Menu Editor > Utilities > Kgpg

      On mine the 'Command:' line reads "kgpg %U".

        I just checked the desktop. I changed the command line to "kgpg -k" to make it work.
