[Solved] Window title bars and taskbar screwed up

Hi! I recently upgraded my system, which is Karmic Koala, and after a reboot I get windows title bars and the task bar completely screwed up. I can't see a thing, it is not drawn correctly at all. Has anyone experienced the same problem?

This is the famous "missing window decorations" issue, the subject of 2.7 jillion posts. Probably you need to turn off Desktop Effects, and in a Konsole window issue

kwin --replace

Then you can research it further, with fully functional window decorations in the meanwhile.

Desktop effects were already off and the rest didn't work. Solved using kernel 2.6.31.10 instead of 2.6.28.
