    Re: No Video files previews

What is your version of the mplayerthumbs ?

There has been this > Bug #409260: mplayerthumbs can't make thumbnails.

It should be fixed by the mplayerthumbs (1.2-kde4.3.1-0ubuntu1). The Phonon backend is not working. Start the MPlayerThumbs Configuration Utility (Alt+F2 and mplayerthumbsconfig ) and check that the backend is MPlayer.

Subjective, could be my system !

Here, the latest version is slower, there is high CPU load and it seems to have problems with the wmv files. The older version of the mplayerthumbs (1.2-0ubuntu1) from the Jaunty repositories seems to work better (it is as good as with the Jaunty).

Why there are dead links ?

Do you have Dolphin > Settings > Configure Dolphin > General > Previews -> Show preview for: Video Files (MPlayerThumbs) ?
