firefox additional packages requirements??

I just wanted to install firefox and i saw it tryes to grab half gnome with it even synaptic ? I have installed it in previous kubuntu versions with only few additional packages so why not anymore, has this something to do with firefox 3.5?

Use

sudo apt-get --no-install-recommends install firefox-3.5

to skip installing "recommended" packages as dependencies
