How do I extract a .inf file from a .exe file?

I'm trying to get wireless working in K 9.10. I'm on a Dell Inspiron 1525 laptop and went to Dell's sight and downloaded the driver (Dell Wireless 1395 WLAN Mini-Card), but Dell downloads via Windows format in .exe. Should I install Wine to extract the .inf info or what should I do next? I've read the forum thread, "[SOLVED]No wireless network found" and 1) it doesn't make sense to me, (I'm a Mac guy) and 2) he uses a different wireless driver. So, any suggestions please?

Depends how the exe is packed. I have found that 7z can extract some exe files that are no more than zip files that run an executable inside.

You can add 7zip to file roller. Its worth a try since you don't have Windows installed.
