wireless networking not working after waking from ram suspend

    Hello guys.

I'm having problems with RAM suspend and restoring wireless networking after waking up since I brought my notebook. It's Asus X50Z.

It didn't work on Jaunty and now after upgrading to Karmic betas and rc issue still persists. I used NetworkManager, after so many issues with it I switched to wicd which just works great, but still no wireless after suspend.

This is my lspci, if any more info needed, I'll gladly provide.

Re: wireless networking not working after waking from ram suspend

Umm.... I have notebook ( a Acer Aspire2920z) that uses a Artheros wifi (like you), and I have asimilar problem. Some times, the Wifi simply not like to work. I need to reboot the notebook to get working it. And I tried which Wicd, NetworkManager and KNetworkManager, and nothing.... simply It not like to work (but around 80% of time it's working very well).

I think that is a strange bug of Artheros driver...

I also have an ACER Aspire laptop (5536) and agree with the last post - must be a bug in the Linux Atheros Driver - I use ath9k. Maybe we both need to try and install a native proprietary driver and use NDISWRAPPER or WPA_SUPPLICANT to get it working. The Linux driver seems to keep working only so long as we keep the connection busy! Must be timing out and going into hibernation - and then will not restart (no matter how hard we try).
