Hangs on boot shortly after upgrade Logitech USB Receiver

A few days after upgrading Kubuntu from 9.04 to 9.10 hangs on boot. An error box pops up saying in low graphics mode problem loading Logitech USB Receiver. This happens weather the USB reciever is in the laptop or not. If I select the option drop to prompt sometimes I get a login prompt or KDM starts or nothing & I have to force a reboot. It's a HP dv9730 running the 64 version. It gave me the option to record a log Here's the end.
