I've been using 9.04 for a while and decided to upgrade to 9.10. I followed the directions on kubuntu.org to upgrade over the internet. Everything went fine, but the "getting new packages" stage of the upgrade was going to take 7 hours so I went to bed. When I woke up, it's stuck at 99% says "fetching file 1147 of 1147" but isn't doing anything. The only option available is to cancel the upgrade, but it warns me that it will be unstable if I do so? What should I do?

This may have happened to me, but I didn't have a progress bar just a grey window. I took a gamble and rebooted this caused other probs.
