I want to install a couple of .tar files......... they show up in my firefox downloads but then I have no idea where they are... i know you have to un-compress these files but i can't get to them...... any help would be great.... the programs i am trying to install are sweethome3d and wings.... but they are .tar...... Please help!!!!!!

I'm not sure what you mean by "wings" - Wings 3D?. Get the .deb of that here: http://linuxappfinder.com/package/wings3d
