Quite regularly I'm getting duplicate Skype buttons on the KDE 4.3 toolbars. When this happens I get a second toolbar button that is displayed on all desktops despite my selection to only show those on the current desktop.
The duplicate button does not react to any user action. It cannot be opened or removed and just takes up space and drives me nuts. The only way to get rid of it is to restart KDE.
The original button performs as expected when the duplicate is present.
On one occasion I had the same thing happen with an X window but I had no idea where that came from or why it suddenly appeared.
If anyone has information on how I can stop this happening and why it happens I'd appreciate it. I'd also appreciate guidance on whether this should be raised as a bug and if so, where I should raise it.
