    bash tab completion: back to normal

    I've changed it, but I can't remember how. I do remember that it wasn't a big change. I didn't install anything, either.

    Now pressing tab completes the word I'm typing "in place", letting my cycle through all the available possibilities rather than printing out a list of them. It seemed like a good idea at the time, but I want to go back to the old method.

    Anyone know how? The documentation is a bit ...whooosh...

        LOL!

        If you didn't do it for all users, but jkust for your own user, then it's simple, you need to look in your .bash_profile and .bashrc, in your home directory ...
