I have a Logitech Quickcam. Model data: ID 046d:092e Logitech, Inc. QuickCam Chat.
It is supposed to work with Kubuntu 9.04.
But it is indeed found as /dev/video0
However, it does not work on my Kubuntu 9.04 and Kubuntu Karmic.
Skype shows multicolored moving bands.
Camora and Ekiga produce error messages but no camera picture.
That's as far as I have been able to go.
Checked Forum FAQs and Google for solutions. There are many described. None worked for me.
Failed also in attempts to compile the spca driver even when following step by step instructions.
Can anyone please break down the driver compiling instructions into steps even an unsophisticated Kubuntu user can follow?
Thanks!
JUST FOUND: Workaround
Found a workaround that actually seems to work. At least it produces a picture on Skype (test mode).
A very fuzzy picture, that is.
