python /usr/bin/update-notifier-kde keeps hogging my CPU, stealing all my ram, and tweaking my temps up an extra 20^C.

Oh yeah, I'm on 4.2.4, but I believe this was happening on and off before that...

i have similar problem, but it happens after closing firefox or thunderbird, and "top" in konsole showing python cpu usage 100%. And only solution is "killall python"....
I am also on kde 4.2.4, but for me, issue started after update.

I have the same problem since Jaunty upgrade.
