    Messed up my /etc/apt/sources.list file

    help :P i Messed up my /etc/apt/sources.list file. I can edit it with nano using sudo but i can save the changes getting 'ACCESS DENIED'. how do i get around the file permissions should i use knoppix live cd or system rescue cd and use midnight commander? lol sorry, im such a newb

    Alt+F2 -> kdesudo kate

    Give that a try from your normal desktop session and see if it works.

        I give you a tip! Make a link on your desktop using this for the command "kdesu dolphin", of course without the quotations! Now, here's the thing... If you don't choose a really good icon to go with it, and use a really cool name, it wont work! Now when you want to browse the file system as root, you can just open that link, it will ask for the root password, and presto!
