      I thought that konq now just runs dolphin as a kpart when used as a file manager? If so removing dolphin would break konqueror.

        Have you tried Nautilus the GNOME file manager it runs very well in KDE4?

        Every dev hour spent on Dolphin should be used on other nice stuff I like 8) hehe.

        So a way of showing my disappointment is to purge Dolphin from my system. But I can't...
