    Huawei E-220 Broadband Modem

Above mentioned broadband modem does not want to connect. I can see that it gets recognized by Kubuntu, but it does not want to connect. I am using Kubuntu 9.04. I also use Ubuntu 9.04, no problems, but I like the interface of Kubuntu more.

Help please? How do I get my broadband to work on Kubuntu?

    Thanks.

Ubuntu seems to handle these broadband mobile modems better and you probably live somewhere included in the list if it works with Ubuntu. I have a Huawei E-170 and haven't been able to get it to work yet, but I'm not worried as it is too expensive for me that way at 50 cents US per MB. It hasn't stopped me from trying to get it working, as I want to have everything possible working with Kubuntu.

Network Manager seems to cause problems with all but the most simple connections and many people suggest wicd. If you have the information from your Ubuntu connection, you might be able to get it working with Kubuntu.
