    X-problem after upgrade

    Hello!

I just upgraded from intrepid to jaunty. After boot I get a screen with low resolution and a window with the following message:

    ---------------
Ubuntu is running in low-graphics mode

The floowing error was encountered. You may need to update your configuration to solve this.

(EE) GartInit: Unable to open /dev/agpart. (No such file or directory)
    (EE) [drm] drmOpen failed.
(EE) intel(0): [dri] DRIScreenInit failed Disabling DRI.
(EE) intel(0): Failed to allocate framebuffer. Is your VideoRAM set too low?
(EE) intel(0): Couldn't allocate video memory
    ---------------

There is also a mouse cursor, but a can't move it. So, X does not start properly, but I can use the console. The computer is an Eee PC 901. Does anybody knows how to fix this?

    thanks and best regards,
    Tomas

Hi Thomasp, did you try to start in recovery mode? Just selecting the second voice in the Grub boot list?
In this case you'll find an option to fix the configuration problem of the X server.
