Print outside page

Hello, I have Kubuntu 9.04.
Brother DCP-145C printer.
CUPS 1.1

When I print, the printing does not line up with the page. It cuts of a bit at the top and leaves a big white space at the bottom. All I need to do is to align the page. Have it begin a number of centimetres lower. How can I do this. I am a newcomer to Kubuntu, wishing to migrate fully from MS.

You can configure printing in System Settings (which is like the Control Panel in Windows). Also, when you are ready to print something, you can edit printing options on the fly. Have you tried those?
