vaio vgn fn key can't adjust brightness
But I don't have this problem since Ubuntu Jaunty(gnome). Ubuntu Karmic Alpha3(gnome) doesn't get this problem either. They both works fine.
But in Kubuntu Jaunty and Karmic(surely with kde4.2 or kde4.3RC2), I can never adjust brightness key by using FN keys.

Is there a way to fix it manually since this has already fixed in Jaunty(gnome)?

i have a compaq cq40 laptop. the Fn keys for brightness work fine in kubuntu JJ. I never did anything extra to make them work.

Maybe system settings will be a good place to start?
