bluetoooth mouse keyboard reconnect after boot help needed - jaunty jackalope

i know the blue-tooth has be in disarray for yrs now, but their has been a work around to auto reconnect after reboot.
i can get my keyboard and mouse to connect fine with gnome bluetooth app, hidd --search... but it will not survive the reboot, also they do not wake up after inactivity .
tried all the early tweaks to make it through reboot no luck.
anyone have any success?
this is a fresh install of jaunty jackalope beta.

got it--
used new ps3 keyboard and a new dongle, had to use gnomes bluetooth-applet to connect the keyboard - and keep it connected. all configs at defaults
kde4 bluetooth manager works fine to connect the mouse.
