    Dual Monitor feature not available.

    Hi there,

I recently formatted my machine which was running Ubuntu Ibex and installed Kubuntu Ibex. On Ubuntu, i was able to utilise dual monitors, but now with Kubuntu it does not pick up and allow me to use both screens. Both come on, but they are "clones" of each other.

Graphics card is ATI Radeon Xpress 200 Crossfire and when i look for the hardware drivers it comes up with "ATI/AMD Proprietary FGLRX graphics driver activated".

Can anyone please help me get my dual monitor feature working again?

    Thanks

Re: Dual Monitor feature not available.

I can't really help, but I'll check this thread for answers, as I've had a lot of problems with this.

I really love Kubuntu (despite the premature KDE4 switch debacle), but multimonitor is one area where it lags way behind Windows. In fact, it's one of the reasons I have not yet switched to Kubuntu on my main workstation. It has a six monitor setup, two rows of three monitors, and it was painful to set up in Windows, and given that I've so far failed to get two monitors to work properly, I prefer to wait.

In other words, any information would be apreciated.
