dolphin after upgrade today kde 4.2

Dolphin is making me double click folders in the Folders tree panel (hit F7 to show/hide) to show the contents. Never had to do this before and its really annoying. It IS related to the single/double click setting in KDE's mouse settings. i changed the mouse settings to single click and I can single click the folder in the tree to see the content. But I cannot stand that settings for the files view cause I sometimes go click happy .

has anyone else noticed this, and is there any way to make it work right again?
I am running Kubuntu 8.10 with KDE 4.2

Single click does work on the + or - in your configuration... not the solution you're looking for, but fyi in case you didn't notice.

yes single click works on the (+/-) but clicking that does not show the files

its enough to make me want to go back to KDE 3! seriously!!

My Dolphin works just fine with single-click, even on the folders in the tree panel view.
Windows no longer obstructs my view.

Same thing happens to me and I find it as annoying as you do, rastaman.

I'm hoping it's a bug, not a feature, and that it will be fixed soon. If anyone knows a workaround, I'd be interested.

          Thanks,
