Wine Internet Access Issue

I installed the Wine version in the repos. Running Kubuntu (64 bit) 8.10 KDE 4.1.2.

None of the Windows programs I installed seem to be able to connect to the Internet. Programs under Linux work flawlessly. Any ideas?
