Some Problems solved in Knetwork Manager

I have a Toshiba notebook with Kubuntu 4.1.3 installed and could not get connectivity or my ADSL network and LAN up.
After I removed all data except the first 2 lines in /etc/network/interfaces, everything worked and I could ass a ADSL connection using pppoeconf.

Reccomend you try this as first resort and make sure only the lines

    auto lo
    iface lo inet loopback

    is in the interfaces file.

You can edit by using sudo kate

I can now connect wireless and wire, share files ( after Samba install), and print anywhere on my network which runs a mix of kubuntu/ubuntu, vista and XP.

Hopes this helps somebody as it took me a lot of effort to find out and get my internal network and connections up.

Do you know how to set the Wireless Network to auto-connect on startup the hard way?
I like many others have problem with auto-connect the wireless network on startup. No problem when i manually connect. I have checked the auto-connect box in the "wizzard" even tried to remove and reconfigure in the "wizzard" with no luck. (Sorry for my bad english... Iḿ not used to write in english...)
