I'm relatively new to Unix & Kubuntu. I've explored the various forums trying to resolve this issue, but some of the answers assume a knowledge of Unix that I don't have.
I finally got the windows driver installed using ndiswrapper (common & utils are both installed per Adept). But I can't seem to configure it. When clicking on the knetworkmanager icon it only shows eth0. I tried adding my network with & without manual ip & dns info but it doesn't connect. I'm using WEP (I have a device on my network that doesn't support wpa) & have a Windows xp & Mac both working fine with the network (the router is a Linksys WRT54g). After that didn't work, I installed the graphical front end (ndisgtk or something like that) & the linksys adapter shows up there as installed, but when I click the configure button, nothing happens.
Any help (with steps for newbies please) would be greatly appreciated.
